Hi Peter,
You asked me my opinion about which sport you should choose, swimming or snowboarding. They are both challenging sports.
Swimming is a great way to keep fit and it is not expensive. You don´t need a lot of equipment, but you may have to practise for long hours. Snowboarding is thrilling and a good form of exercise, but the equipment is very expensive. Also, it can be dangerous.
To me, both sports have good and bad points. You should choose the one you like the most. Let me know how you get on.
Ken.

PLANTING SEEDS
1.
Choose the variety and quantity of seeds you
want to grow. Common beans are the easiest to cultivate. You can choose one or some seeds.
2. Choose
an object such as a plastic cup to grow them.
You can
use a plastic cup/ yoghourt pot to grow them.
3. Get a piece of clean cotton and moisten it. The more seeds you want to cultivate, the
more cotton that you will need. Do not
soak the cotton, or the
seeds will not grow.
4.
Distribute
the seeds above the cotton. Burying or placing the seeds too closely next to each other
will cause the sprouts to grow with difficulties, and may kill the
struggling plant.
5.
Water the
beans when the cotton is starting to dry. In warm temperatures, do this every two days,
and in cold temperatures, two times a week. After about three days, the sprouts
will germinate.
6.
Plant the
sprouts. When
the sprouts reaches about 20 centimeter (7.9 in), bury the cotton, along
with the sprouts, in the soil.

In the UK, a person´s 18th birthday is one of the most important days in their life.
They usually celebrate their birthdays at home with family and friends. They decorate the house with balloons and streamers and often have a band or a DJ to play music. There is always a birthday cake and lots of party food and drinks for everyone.
The gifts are usually something quite special, like necklace or watch. The person celebrating feels very special.

Anyway, we had a great time and it´s a pity you weren´t there. Write to me and let me know how you are.
Yours,
Kate

18th Birthdays
In the UK, a person´s 18th birthday is one
of the most important days in their life.
They usually celebrate their birthdays at home with
family and friends. They decorate the house with balloons and streamers and
often have a band or a DJ to play music. There is always a birthday cake and
lots of party food and drinks for everyone.
The gifts are usually something quite special, like
necklace or watch. The person celebrating feels very special.
